Open Source

Since the birth of computers, the capitalistic ideals of man and America have led many people to become some of the most powerful and richest people to walk this earth. Computers virtually control EVERY aspect of mankind now, if we did not have them, many would not only die but the whole system would come crushing down. They are the greatest invention to have ever been born. They have allowed for us to create many new inventions that have saved lives, cured diseases, build stronger cars, buildings, etc..BUT they have also allowed for the further development of weapons that kill more people then any natural disaster and or disease. Computers are the gift of life but also the cancer that is slowly consuming us all.

I type these words on a computer that I spent my own hard earned money on, and I type these words because it is the truth. I couldn't live a single day knowing that I couldn't have access to either a computer or the internet within a couple of minutes. They have that much control of humans today. One could also compare them to food. Without food we die, without computers we die, it's that simple.

Now back to the main point of the blog, many people think that have to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to have a operating System that allows for them toe browse the internet and or write up some letters. Little do they know, for the past many many years, people have created, upgraded and support a Open Source Operating System called "Linux". It not only is just as powerful as Windows or the Mac OS,but is in fact more secure then both. It can do EVERYTHING a Windows or Mac can do and even more. One of the greatest things about it also, is that it runs on virtually any computer. The processing power to allow for it to run smoothly is so minimal that a computer which has a hard time running Windows 98 can run the latest version of Linux without ANY issues.

So my point is, people need to now only be aware of the fact that you don't need to open your wallets to Microsoft or Apple, but rather setup and get comfortable with a Linux based Operating System. If you ever want to try it on a old computer to see how it works, I would be more then happy to assist you. Just visit my website:
